Job Description

Job Summary

The Account Maintenance Specialist will execute upon various account maintenance transactions and tasks including but not limited to loan modifications, recurring ACH generation and cancelation, customer requested research and validation, due date changes and general loan maintenance.

Job Duties

• Executes upon account maintenance tasks and functions according to policy and procedures.  Escalates issues and challenges to leadership in a timely manner
• Responsible for managing own daily workload and assignments within service level objectives.  Assists peers with assignment completion, as needed.
• Maintains a high level of accuracy and completeness within tasks and functions performed.  Ensure account level review and documentation is thorough and clear.
• Respond to internal and external (verbal and written) inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Champions best practices.  Identifies process improvements and proactively communicates possible solutions with leadership
• Initiates outbound calls to customers in response to inquiries, research or request fulfillment and in accordance with the servicing call model, QA standards and regulatory requirements
• Assists leadership in special projects
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
• 2 - 3 years of work related experience. Experience in consumer auto finance industry preferred.
• Experience with account maintenance functions strongly preferred
• 2 years of administrative accounting preferred.
• Familiarity with indirect loan documentation, i.e. contracts, ancillary products, certificates, etc. preferred.
• A working knowledge of automobile finance, collections, loan services, and/or specialty areas preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Database skills preferred.
• Proficiency in SHAW Collections and SHAW Retail preferred.
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills required, as well as the ability to utilize appropriate analysis, judgment, and logic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail; able to methodically review the execution of procedures and identify issues.
