Who You Are
We are actively seeking a talented Account Executive to join our Sales team as we continue to expand. This position offer the flexibility of remote work; however, candidates must be located in the assigned territory (Southwest: Arizona - ideally Phoenix; Nevada - ideally Las Vegas; or Utah - ideally Salt Lake City). As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue through new customer acquisition and expanding existing accounts. This will be achieved by leveraging our comprehensive portfolio, including our managed detection and response service sales, professional service sales, and risk & compliance consultation.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of industry knowledge, experience, and exceptional relationship-building skills. You will be responsible for building and managing a territory spanning multiple verticals, all while delivering outstanding customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. What You Will Be Doing?
- Act as a cybersecurity advisor and point of contact for clients and prospects, providing expertise in areas such as endpoint security, network security, security operations, vulnerability management, SIEM, incident response, security assessments and testing, threat intelligence, and more.
- Drive new business sales while managing the sales process from prospecting to closure, ensuring inclusivity and diversity throughout.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas while contributing to the accuracy and timeliness of customer, pipeline, and forecast data.
- Have experience managing and building relationships with resellers and partners from diverse backgrounds to drive business growth.
- Deliver dynamic and engaging presentations and product demonstrations through various platforms, including MS Teams and in-person meetings, fostering inclusivity.
- Execute the full sales process, including pipeline development by identifying and qualifying opportunities within your territory, and negotiating pricing and contractual terms to achieve successful sales closures.
- Provide excellent service and support to prospects and customers, establishing and nurturing long-term business relationships.
- Continuously build, maintain, and expand your knowledge to become an expert on Critical Start's inclusive solutions.
- Occasionally travel may be required to provide support for marketing activities, events, and customer meetings across different states, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
- Utilize Salesforce or similar tools to track all relevant information related to opportunities and accounts, effectively managing your territory while promoting diversity and inclusivity.
What You Will Bring?
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related outside sales experience
- Must be physically located in assigned geography: Southwest - Arizona, Nevada, or Utah
- 3+ years of experience with any technology value-added partner company or manufacturer
- Cybersecurity sales experience
- Channel Sales experience
- Proven excellence in selling IT security solutions to enterprise organizations and running an effective sales process
- Demonstrated ability to close complex deals involving multiple executive-level stakeholders and enterprise sales cycles
- Successful record of prospecting, engaging, penetrating organizations at multiple levels, and acquiring major/enterprise-level customers, with an existing rolodex of customers and channel relationships within the assigned geography.
- Previous work experience with sales tools including Salesforce.com, MS Office Suite & Teams, OneDrive, and other CRM/Marketing applications
Desired Qualifications:
- Managed Service Sales experience a plus
- Managed Detection & Response (MDR) experience is preferred

Compensation:
The total compensation range (base) being offered for this role is [$150,000 - $175,000 USD].
Additional Compensation:
This role is eligible for the following: performance-based variable compensation.
