The Role:
As an Account Executive III, you'll drive strategic data sales for industry-leading organizations, helping them unlock the power of the world's most comprehensive predictive intelligence platform. In this role, you'll own complex enterprise sales cycles, leveraging your expertise in data solutions to land deals with both new and existing customers. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions, working closely with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to execute sophisticated Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies. Your ability to build and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers (C-suite, SVP, and VP-level) will be crucial as you identify expansion opportunities and ensure seamless implementations in partnership with our Customer Success team. As a key member of our enterprise sales organization, you'll also provide valuable market insights to our product and engineering teams, helping shape the future of Crunchbase's data solutions
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead Qualification and Sales Opportunities:
- Assess inbound leads to pinpoint new sales possibilities within an established funnel of potential customers.
- Engage in prospecting to expand the customer base according to target account profiles.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas with the autonomy to approach these targets in a manner that best suits your strengths and strategies while aligning with the company's sales philosophy.
Relationship Building and Account Development:
- Cultivate enduring relationships with customers.
- Recognize upsell prospects and enhance existing accounts to tailor solutions for broader multi-team licenses.
Collaboration and Strategy:
- Partner with SDRs to formulate ABM strategies for key target accounts.
- Ensure a smooth hand-off from early qualification to closure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Customer Success team during the sales closure to implement Crunchbase Data and future products.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to relay customer issues and experiences.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience in data sales, including selling data products, analytics solutions, or data-driven services.
- Strong understanding of data monetization strategies and experience navigating data licensing agreements.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets in a data-focused environment, with expertise in pipeline management and deal execution.
- Ability to articulate the value of data to customers, addressing use cases, compliance considerations, and ROI.
- Experience working with technical teams to align sales efforts with data product capabilities and market needs
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience selling SaaS products to customers of varying sizes, ranging from SMB to enterprise.
- Must have experience selling data and APIs.
- Past experience working with internal executives and cross-functionally with other teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- This is classified as a full-time exempt role under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
