This is a part-time temporary, contract position with an immediate start date.

The non-negotiable houlry rate for this role is $23.00 per hour.

The 504 Clerk assists with various administrative tasks associated with the 504 program.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:  The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position.  This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required; other duties may be assigned.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Distributes Section 504 materials to appropriate staff members and secures receipts.
  • Maintains 504 records for students in District data storage.
  • Distributes needed forms to parents to include, but not limited to meeting notices, completed 504 evaluations and plans.
  • Maintains a spreadsheet with current student 504 information to help ensure that records are complete, and testing accommodations are accurate.
  • Communicates testing accommodations to the assessment team within set deadlines
  • Assist with format rollover to new document generating program (esped).
  • Assist in scheduling 504 meetings by calling parents and sending Outlook invitations to staff.

Minimum Required Qualifications:   

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND
  • One year of related work experience OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience 

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

  • Able to pass required background check
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience using search engines (internet) for research
  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Detail oriented, able to identify errors in student data and information
  • Able to multi-task, get tasks done quickly and accurately
  • Customer service oriented
  • Flexible, team-player

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Associates Degree
