3D Character Artist and Animator (Canada only)

3D Character Animator

We seek a talented 3D Character Artist and Animator to create and animate up to 100 character models using a character creation tool, customizing the output for high-quality and performance-optimized use in Unity. The main responsibility will be adding custom animations that seamlessly integrate with the models. The ideal candidate will ensure all models are optimized for Unity, balancing visual quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and customize character models using a character creation tool.
• Develop and integrate custom animations tailored to each model.
• Optimize models and animations for performance in Unity.
• Ensure all characters and animations meet project specifications.
• Experience building avatars for VR training is a big bonus!

Requirements:

• Experience with character creation tools and animation.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, rigging, and animation for Unity.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques.

Location

Aequilibrium is remote-first, and we continue to have quarterly in-person engagement events to nurture a healthy AEQ culture. Depending on your role, you may be required to be on-site from time to time to support the needs of our business. 

Compensation

The typical salary range for this position is: CAD $80K - $120K annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience, and market data. We offer a competitive overall compensation package with remote work, fully paid for comprehensive benefits, and an opportunity to work with a talented team and exciting emerging technology.
