• Translate North Star vision into real-time production art
• Create high quality exemplar key art to guide content creation at scale
• Work with engineers and technical artists to inform asset creation pipelines.
• Manage external vendors and provide feedback on externally developed projects as needed.
• Responsible for outlining asset authoring guidelines, process and pipeline as needed.
• Quickly solve issues with your interdisciplinary peers.
• Collaborate and iterate based on the team's needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a 3D artist with a focus on characters, including shipping 3 or more titles
• Experience as a 3D artist working on creatures
• Experience in a wide range of artistic styles, with an emphasis on stylized art
• Experience communicating in a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, artists, and designers
• Experience with one or more commercial game engines (e.g. Unreal or Unity)
• Knowledge of digital content creation packages like Maya, Houdini, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, ZBrush, Photoshop, etc.
• Experience in driving external development
• Demonstrate broad technical experience to support a wide variety of technical and artistic goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior virtual reality experience
• Experience working with shaders, materials, lighting
• Experience with parametric character systems

$149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
