Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last 9-12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Company Research Labs can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

NDS, Non-Clinical Drug Safety, helps advance high quality drug candidates into development by defining the non–clinical safety and selectivity of lead compounds. NDS employees evaluate Lead Op candidates and preclinical toxicity of drug development candidates, provide mechanistic understanding of drug-induced toxicity, and assess implications for human safety. NDS provides collaborative research in animal model development, veterinary medical and animal care, and research facility management. NDS also responds to regulatory questions in support of drug registration.

Locations: West Point PA / Boston MA

Education:
 

Candidates should currently be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: applied math, computer science, chemistry, physics, computer engineering, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines.
 

Preferred:

G.P.A of 3.0 or higher

Strong analytical and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages : Python 3, JavaScript, Matlab, and/or R (with a strong preference for Python)
  • Familiarity with building web-applications such as Rshiny, Streamlet, Dash, or Power Apps
  • Hands-on analysis experience with biological data types including discrete observations, continuous measurements, and time-series data
  • Familiarity with structured and un-structured data sources, such as SQL, postgres, mongoDB, or Big Table
  • Familiarity with statistics, discrete math, and probabilistic modeling a plus
  • Familiarity with statistical learning methods, such as supervised and unsupervised modeling    


Required:

 Must be available for a period of 9-12 weeks, beginning May 2025.

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$39,600.00-$105,500.00
