MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is a part of the Bioanalytical group, Global Preclinical Development, based in Rahway, New Jersey. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Implementing LC-MS/MS assays (sample analysis and validation) for the analysis of biological  samples in a GLP environment, with duties inclusive of, but not limited to,  sample preparation, setting up instruments, processing and interpreting LC-MS/MS data under the supervision of study director/supervisor/Principal investigator/line manager.

  • Developing, optimizing and implementing fit-for-purpose LCMS methods to support drug discovery projects under supervision of peers and superiors; drafting bioanalytical methods.

  • Ensuring that all documentations are in real time, accurate and compliant with current GLP and departmental guidelines under the Principal Investigator’s oversight.

  • Preparing reports for drug discovery and non-GLP studies; assisting SDs/PIs on defined study-related tasks, such as raw data compilation for submission.

  • Adherence to short term goals, objectives and timelines agreed upon with management/study directors/principal investigators.

  • Taking up group shared duties such as device responsibilities, maintenance and calibration of equipment according to GLP, and regulatory and internal guidelines.

  • Assumption of administrative or scientific responsibilities in a specific area of work (e.g. chemical management).

  • Critically assessing existing processes and workflows and proposing suggestions for improvement.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Ph.D. candidate in chemistry with the completion of more than two years graduate studies.

  • Candidates must be available for a period of 6 months beginning January 2025.

  • Candidates must have ability to be organized, adapt to a changing environment, work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Leadership roles during college

  • Basic knowledge of the Animal Health and/or Animal Feed industries

  • Candidates must be returning to school after completing this co-op

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$39,600.00-$105,500.00
