2025 Summer Legal Internship

Delta Dental is seeking two 1L Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (“LCLD”) Scholars to work with its in-house legal department for its 2025 Summer Legal Internship Program (“Program”) starting in June 2025.
- In supporting Delta Dental’s Legal Department, Summer Interns will have the unique opportunity to work on a variety of assignments and projects that reflect the breadth of legal issues that Delta Dental handles. Assignments can include researching and analyzing state and federal statutory and regulatory issues, data privacy issues, reviewing and revising contracts, and supporting business transaction negotiations.
- In addition, Summer Interns will enroll in the 2025 1L LCLD Scholars Program (https://www.lcld.com/programs/1l-scholars/) and attend the 1L Scholars Virtual Experience. The 1L LCLD Scholars Virtual Experience is designed specifically for law students and focuses on relationship building and career development strategies.
- The program will last 10 weeks. Participants will receive a small paid salary. Summer Interns may work in a virtual format.
- Candidates for the Program must be enrolled as a first-year law student in good standing at an ABA-approved law school.
- Preference will be given to participants of the LCLD Success in Law School Mentoring program and mentees of Delta Dental attorneys.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills as well as oral and interpersonal communication skills are required.

Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 15. $40,500 - $84,800
