About the Catalog Team
The OpenSesame Catalog Team is the driving force behind keeping our eLearning catalog dynamic, organized, and tailored to meet the unique needs of our customers. We ensure every course is thoughtfully curated, up-to-date, and easily discoverable, helping learners find the perfect fit for their professional growth. Our mission is to deliver a seamless and impactful learning experience that empowers individuals and organizations alike.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn how a large eLearning catalog is managed and continuously improved. It’s a perfect fit for someone with a background or interest in library science, data organization, or content curation. As part of the team, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with data, optimizing course accessibility, and ensuring our catalog remains user-friendly and impactful.

Performance Objectives

2 Weeks: 

  • Learn how OpenSesame’s catalog is set up and how to update it.
  • Complete training on our tools and systems.

30 Days:

  • Assist with adding new courses and checking for any errors in the catalog.
  • Review and update catalog information to ensure it’s accurate.

60 Days:

  • Work with team members to ensure new courses are organized correctly.
  • Start creating simple reports about catalog updates and improvements.
  • Take on projects like organizing specific course categories or fixing data issues.

Additional Program Details

Application Closes: 

  • Friday, March 14th, 2025

Program Dates: 

  • Start: Tuesday, June 17, 2025
  • End: Friday, August 15, 2025

Commitment:

  • Full-time (40 hours/week) for 7 ½ weeks

Compensation:

  • Standard: $17/hour

Fully Remote Role: Interns must have a personal computer and access to consistent high-speed internet during working hours.

Opportunities and Expectations: As a summer intern at OpenSesame, you’ll have the chance to grow your skills through training courses and meaningful work. You’ll also participate in enriching program events, including learning opportunities, networking, community service projects, and book club discussions. 

Additionally, you’ll collaborate with other interns on a group-led project that will have a real impact.

Interview Process: After the initial resume review, selected applicants will be invited to complete a creative project of their choice—such as a video, vision board, writing sample, or website—to showcase their skills and answer questions about why they’re interested in this opportunity and what makes them a great fit. This will be followed by interviews with our team.
