1099 Physician - Virtual Health Assessment

About the role:

This role delivers quality care to patients on Oscar’s platforms via phone and messaging. This role will serve as a supervising physician to Advanced Practice Providers.

You will report into the Associate Director, Virtual Health Assessment

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $99 - $149 per hour for patient consults. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care virtually (both by phone and message) in alignment with Oscar Medical Group guidelines, practices and policies
• Provide direct oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants within state by state regulations 
• Collaborate with MAs, RNs, and other providers across service lines
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Board-certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine 
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Must be licensed in Pennsylvania
• Supervision experience of Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA)
• 3+ years experience in urgent care, ER or outpatient family medicine practice

Bonus points:

• 2+ years of Telemedicine experience
• Supervision experience of Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA)
• Compact physician license
• Fluent in Spanish
• Licensed in OMG states: AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA,  IA, IL, KS, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, VA
