1099 Contract Training Specialist

METCOR/LSI has a need for a contract 1099 virtual Training Specialist to support the development and delivery of technical, procedural, and/or soft-skills training materials for adults. This position is fully remote, up to full-time hours, and offers a contract through December 31st, 2025.

Preferred Experience

• Call Center experience
• Knowledge of military and/or civilian health benefits administration
• Salesforce learning environment experience

Duties and Responsibilities in the Training Specialist role:

• Deliver training in a virtual environment
• Editing and content review for team members
• Support end users and evaluate the efficacy of training materials
• Research and study to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a variety of topics

Required Skills and Abilities for the Training Specialist role:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of, or experience with, the ADDIE process of Instructional Systems Design
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Teams and PowerPoint
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
• Champion of life-long learning and self-development

Education and Experience for the Training Specialist role:

• 1+ years of virtual training delivery preferred

Physical Requirements of the Training Specialist role:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
