Job Description

The Business Systems Senior Consultant I coordinates and participates in project reviews, system analysis, production problem corrections, enhancements, and testing of a wide range of applications. This role serves as a liaison between developers, product managers, compliance and end-users, and provides expert business knowledge to successfully implement system changes to applications, including customer facing software and comparative raters.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates and documents the resolution of problems encountered during and after the testing process

• Serves as business expert for developers and technical liaison for the business units for complex processes

• Executes test scenarios, approves project implementation and verifies the production output upon implementation

• Creates test plans/scripts and verifies results which includes functional, system, usability, acceptance, and regression testing

• Provides training for other business system analysts to develop department resources

• Conducts gap analysis between application and stated customer requirements and collaborates with architects and developers to estimate project impact

• Prepares overall project plan, incorporating system considerations for various operational areas, submits the request for programming, coordinates and drives successful delivery based on agreed timeline

• Delivers precise functional specifications to include business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping to clients and development staff

• Evaluates business requests to determine feasibility, works with developers to define alternatives, and provides recommendations for an optimal solution

• Reviews and researches complex production problems and determines the extent to which they are testing, development, or user errors

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $66,800.00 - 102,700.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
