Overview

The Consumer Tech Writer will lead the development and maintenance of both external and internal facing documentation for Cotiviti’s Consumer Engagement platform, Eliza. Documentation includes user guides, release notes, printed manuals, help files, and other media as needed by the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop client facing documentation for solutions and services supplied by the Consumer Engagement business unit.
  • Work across teams (product, development, business analysts, client services, etc.) to gather the information needed to create and maintain the documentation.
  • Utilize Cotiviti documentation standards and formats for user guides, release notes, printed manuals, help files, and other media as needed.
  • Develop a project plan for material upkeep to ensure all material is kept up to date.
  • Create both internal and external communication to teams and clients when material changes.
  • Document enhancements and bug fixes in release notes using various resources, including but not limited to analysis of functional specifications, business analyst feedback, and application testing.
  • Gather feedback from both internal and external users to ensure material is easy to understand and comprehensive to fully explain the offering.
  • Work with technical teams to make the products easier to use and thus limit instructions that many be required in these materials.
  • Communicate directly with management and the development team regarding document creation and format.
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

 

  •  Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  •  Communicating with others to exchange information.
  •  Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  •  Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. 
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of significant technical, functional, and user facing writing background.
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience designing and testing web applications
  • Proficient skills in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Experience in the following areas valued:  Knowledge Management content design, digital design, technical documentation formatting.
  • Knowledge of Quality measures in healthcare.

Base compensation ranges from $78,000 to $100,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
