This position will provide a consistent, but flexible schedule of 10-20 hours a week in-person, remote, or a combination. This position is expected to begin in January 2024. The position is expected to end in May 2025 with the possibility of continuing through the summer and fall semester.Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

1Qualifications:
Required:• Experience with written communications.
• Working knowledge of social media.
Preferred:
• Experience assisting with or managing institutional or business social media accounts.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, video editing software, and/or email
marketing software, or similar software.
• Photography or videography experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• User knowledge working with any form of social media.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new social media platforms, photography or videography, and communication software systems or other tasks as needed with the assistance of supervisor or other members of the outreach team.
• Ability to work independently on tasks and manage time effectively.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The student in this position will assist the La Follette School’s Communication Specialist to draft and schedule regular posts on the school’s Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook accounts. They will create concise, engaging posts about upcoming events, the student experience, policy research, and more.
Students may also assist with
• social media strategy and analytics
• writing content for various digital platforms
• email marketing
• photography and videography
