Position Overview

As a Staff ServiceNow Platform Administrator you will be responsible for elevating our ServiceNow platform to levels of excellence in its role supporting key business objectives. You will leverage proven experience and your vast knowledge of best practices to ensure the platform’s stability, performance, and scalability. Working with key stakeholders, you will participate in strategic planning to drive continuous improvement efforts, ensuring the platform delivers solutions that enhance business processes.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform, including user management, access controls, and system configurations.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow applications and modules to meet business requirements, including workflows, forms, scripts, and reports.
  • Plan and manage platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitors for critical vulnerabilities reported by ServiceNow support and community experts and takes appropriate steps to restrict platform risk.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and market trends to help with future project development.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of the ServiceNow platform by identifying and resolving issues and implementing preventative action plans.
  • Oversees the analysis, design, and implementation of integrations with other systems, ensuring they align with platform standards and IT best practices.
  • Develop and enforce best practices and standards for ServiceNow administration, ensuring consistency and compliance across the platform.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver solutions that meet their needs while maintaining platform integrity.
  • Ensures the platform is used consistently and effectively across the organization.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures, providing support and guidance to the development team.
  • Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the ServiceNow platform.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors + 12 years of related experience
  • Experience should comprise of 10+ years in ServiceNow Administration and Platform Ownership including:
    • Strong knowledge of scripting, platform configuration, and workflow development in a ServiceNow environment.
    • Deep domain expertise in ServiceNow and proven track record of leading ServiceNow implementation projects.
    • In-dept knowledge and experience configuring and deploying multiple modules within ServiceNow.
    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including experience coaching, mentoring, and building trusting collaborative relationships.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles and UI policy best practices.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices in a Biotech setting.
  • Experience with Systems Integrations, including REST and SOAP

Working Conditions

Administrative work in a home/office environment. Regular weekday work hours, with occasional weekend/after-hours planned or unplanned work as needed.

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting/moving/installation of computer systems and other office/datacenter equipment.

Compensation

Salary Range: $143,200 - $214,800

Possible “other compensation” elements to include:

  • equity grant
  • bonus eligible

Adaptive’s posted compensation information includes a base salary (or hourly rate) range and summary of other available total compensation. The base salary range represents a minimum-to-maximum salary (or hourly rate) available to candidates upon extension of offer. Base salary is thoughtfully considered upon offer and is determined through multiple evaluation checks throughout the interview process, including: a candidate’s ability to meet minimum qualifications (skills/experience/education), a candidate’s ability to thoughtfully address preferred qualifications, current market conditions, and internal pay equity. Listed base salary is exclusive of bonus, commission, equity, differential pay, benefits, and other incentives.
