The Senior Scientist will deliver best in class scientific support for Cytiva filtration and single-use technologies to external stakeholders (customers, partners) and internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Quality, Engineering, R&D). This is a remote role, working from a home-based office close to a major airport with travel up to 50% of the time.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver best in class scientific support for Cytiva filtration and single-use technologies to external stakeholders (customers, partners) and internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Quality, Engineering, R&D).
- Give technical guidance and conduct training, site investigations and product trials for Cytiva's customers in the life science industries.
- Provide market intelligence (voice of the customer) and other technical consultation within the Cytiva organization, including at sites throughout North America and occasionally overseas.
- Work from a home-based office close to a major airport and travel up to 50% of the time.
Who you are:
- You have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a Life Science, Physical Science, or Engineering field.
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry, ideally with filtration/separation technologies and/or single-use technologies in a manufacturing (MSAT) and/or process development (PD) context. Experience in a related field (e.g., small molecule pharma, pharma process engineering) would be considered. A relevant Master’s degree would also be considered in lieu of 2 years’ experience.
- You have a holistic understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- You are comfortable working independently with customers in time-sensitive or high-exposure situations.
- You are competent with common software tools (Microsoft Office).
