As the eDiscovery Senior Project Manager, you will work directly with client to manage litigation projects, legal hold, and eDiscovery services. This role is remote. You will be responsible for managing, supporting, and reporting on litigation projects such as intellectual property (IP), compliance, third party subpoenas, and legal hold. In addition, the project manager will support the legal operations department in project-based support such as playbook updates, onboarding/offboarding, data tracking, and workflow automation and improvement. The position’s responsibilities include (1) managing and tracking third-party subpoenas; (2) managing documents in MS Excel, SharePoint, and Smartsheet; (3) assisting with eDiscovery requests and serving as liaison between in-house counsel and vendor; (4) managing and implementing legal holds and asset tracking; (5) supporting the Legal Department and general operational support. The position will work closely with in-house counsel, outside counsel, and the Legal Operations Manager to achieve these objectives.
What will this person do?
- Experience with providing substantive legal advice concerning electronic discovery issues, including all aspects of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), to the eDiscovery team, Legal, outside counsel, and other departments.
- Experience with developing defensible strategies for eDiscovery collections, processing, culling, searching, and productions.
- Experience with advising Legal regarding records management and data governance issues that relate to or impact the discovery of electronically stored information (ESI) in disputes proceedings.
- Detail oriented; organized; and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Original thinker who can solve problems and identify solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of legal terminology; and general law and legal proceedings.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of a professional organization ranging from the C Suite to junior professionals.
