The Senior IT Project Manager will manage all types of IT initiatives (i.e. product development, security, infrastructure, transformation, IT risk, M&A, back-office, enterprise tooling, cost optimization etc.) for Xplor. This job will coordinate people, processes and governance to ensure projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.

Key Accountabilities and Performance Metrics

The position of Senior IT Project Manager consists of planning, initiating, and managing information technology projects. It also consists of leading and guiding the work of operations staff, liaison between business and technical/operational aspects of projects, planning project stages and assessing business implications for each stage, and monitoring progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.  

As a Senior IT Project Manager you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects

• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

• Ensuring operational efficiencies through standards, intake process and governance

• Establishing transparency and visibility through standard reporting and dashboards

• Responsible for implementing the process as defined in our Delivery Excellence methodology

• Work with the stakeholders on the projects and program delivery methodology and governance processes to optimize the existing delivery methodology and tools, ensuring they are industry-leading and fit for purpose. To refine and agree on implementation plan timelines

•  Responsible for implementing, according to plan, the program and project delivery methodology, establishing policies, standards, controls and systems to support the effective delivery of projects and programs

•  Lead on program quality reviews to assure adherence to processes and procedures

• Provide coaching and training to the program delivery community to support delivery and be the SME for PMO process, tools & governance processes mechanisms and controls

• To own and manage the roadmap for continuous development of the PMO toolset

•  To drive a program of continuous improvement across our delivery governance & methodology, proactively identify re-occurring issues and defining action plans for resolution, working in collaboration with PMO manager and PMO team members

  • The average base salary pay range for this position is $110K-$145K USD
  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or equivalent
  • Have a background in business skills, 10+ years project management, budgeting and analysis
  • Must be comfortable speaking with engineers, vendors, and the management team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent time management, facilitation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adaptability, flexibility and open to change (positive or negative) and to consider variety in workplace
  • Good working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
  • Experience working within a SAFe framework
  • Ability to act diplomatically solving people and technology issues as well as the ability to influence and lead resources across all areas of an organization
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development
  • Team player, cooperative and displays can-do attitude
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • SAFe, PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
