The Opportunity
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will support procurement, define commercial requirements, lead ITT evaluations, and manage contracts post-award to maximise performance and minimise risk. You will ensure compliance with NNB Commercial Procedures, oversee commercial relationships, and manage contract close-out while contributing to lessons learnt for future projects, ensuring success.
Pay, benefits and culture

What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the successful commercial management of contracts within the NNB programme, ensuring alignment with project objectives. You will support procurement by reviewing requirements, assessing scope and value, and defining commercial terms. Involvement in ITT preparation, evaluation, and negotiation will ensure compliance with contractual and financial standards. Post-award, you will manage contract execution, including supplier relationships, payments, variations, claims, and risk mitigation.
You will oversee contract reviews, cost management, and financial reporting while ensuring adherence to NNB Commercial Procedures. Additionally, you will handle commercial correspondence, contractual notices, and contractor performance. Leading contract close-out, you will capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement, playing a crucial role in ensuring commercially successful and cost-effective project delivery.
Who you are
As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will apply effective contract management skills, with clear experience in NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, ensuring best practice methodologies and successful contract administration. With a background in an engineering discipline or equivalent field, along with experience of managing complex infrastructure projects.
You’ll strong commercial expertise, being able to make sound financial decisions, manage risk, change, and claims, and oversee contract performance. Your negotiation, influencing, and communication skills will help build strong professional relationships, while your knowledge of industry standard contracts will support the successful delivery of projects within the power construction sector.
