About this role 

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the company’s Corporate Accounting team and support the company’s rapid growth. You will assist the team by improving controls and processes to meet our operational and reporting requirements that will help scale and shape our business. This position will work on a number of accounting functions, including but not limited to, processing invoices, preparing monthly journal entries and participating in the month-end close process.  

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of GL functions, such as cash, leases, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, etc. 
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations, and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts 
  • Perform month end close to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available 
  • Collaborate cross functionally 
  • Document accounting policies capable of meeting annual audit requirements 
  • Assist with the year-end audit and regulatory filings 
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned 

What we’re looking for 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) 
  • 5+ years of accounting experience 
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Strong analytical, teamwork and organizational skills 
  • Positive, enthusiastic energy with a desire to learn 
  • Understanding of GAAP 
  • Private industry or Big 4 experience is a plus 
  • Microsoft excel experience is required 

Nice to have 

  • Experience in digital healthcare 
  • Experience with NetSuite  
  • Experience streamlining processes 
As a remote position, the salary range for this role is:$80,000—$100,000 USD

Total Rewards 

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.  

Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location  

You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
