Salesforce Developer - Remote (WFH)

Cognitive is seeking a Salesforce Developer to support the VA T4NG Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) program serving our Department of Veterans Affairs Corporate Portfolio clients. The primary role will be to support the creation of comprehensive set of turn-key documents for the VA-CABS 2.0 and its related supporting areas, document existing technical and operational processes and architecture, document interfaces, policies and procedures, and provide delivery over site and assurance of requirements delivery. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications on the Salesforce platform, specifically using the platform's SAAS and cloud capabilities.
• Provide application development, modernization, and technical support, and be a key contributor to continuous process improvement focused on delivering high-performance web-based applications, API’s and reusable Microservices to guide modernization, integration, and interoperability of key systems. 
• Identify and escalate risks. 
• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product may be special use, customized, or COTS/ software. 
• Develop and deploy applications in cloud environments.
• Work on various phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment. 
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. 
• Deliver in an Agile, Lean, SAFe-based environment utilizing DevSecOps, ARTs, and related processes, methodologies, and concepts.
• Support senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.
• Recommend/make decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
• Work on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
• Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Advise government personnel on compliance to standards and policies. 

Required Education, Experience, and Clearance:

• Bachelor’s and five (5) years or more experience OR Master’s and three (3) years or more experience
• US citizenship and the ability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI)
• Experience with Salesforce CRM (SAAS)
• Experience with multiple Git providers (Gitlab, Github, BitBucket, Beanstalk, Azure Devops Server, etc.)
• Experience with Cloud development, support, and sustainment
• Experience conducting in-depth triage, troubleshooting, and forensics across all facets of the cloud stack
