This position will oversee a complex portfolio of Global Health grants and contracts, working closely with the PIs and Operational Program Manager. Post award activities in addition to research administration oversight including personnel, payroll, budgeting with a focus on international global health.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as liaison between faculty/staff in communicating policies and procedures.
- Prepares, analyzes, monitors and manages grant budgets and ensures appropriate and timely expenditures and reconciliation of funds.
- Responsible for the oversight and day-to-day management of research administration.
- Works with OSRS to ensure timely implementation of contracts and subcontracts.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly financial reports on all research accounts and distributes/discusses with Principal Investigators.
- Assign personnel payroll to appropriate sources
- Approves purchasing documents and provides guidance to purchasing staff on appropriate expenditures according to specific grant policies.
- Closes grant accounts; submits final progress report and final invention statement (if applicable) to the appropriate agency. Obtains signatures and forwards grant financial status reports.
- Prepare comprehensive and often complex monthly financial reports on all research accounts (expected to be of a large scale/scope). Distribute/discuss with PIs and senior leadership.
- Serve as internal liaison and grant content representative, ensuring that all funds are set up in a timely manner; prepare any necessary project advances, no-cost extensions, and ensure that funds are carried forward as appropriate.
- Completes special projects as directed by the senior management.
- Completes progress reports and submits to sponsor
- Responsible for ensuring that human and animal study protocols are associated with the applicable proposal or award and submitted for award set up.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of computers spreadsheets word processing organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of AIS, HR Systems, RAPS, FOCUS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, PC, PDS, SUBS, agency guidelines, etc.
Required Qualifications
Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree with six years of experience in accounting or related field including a minimum of two years of experience in grants administration or ten years of combined education and related experience.

$57,300.00 - $97,700.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
