Job Description
The Property Staffing Specialist will develop, implement, and oversee mobile property management teams deployed across multiple regions. These roving crews—comprising Leasing Consultants, Community Directors, Maintenance Technicians, and support staff—will address staffing gaps, support new acquisitions, and enhance operational efficiency.
This position demands extensive operational property management experience, strong project management skills, and a proven ability to execute complex initiatives while navigating budget constraints. This role requires expertise in writing and executing business plans for operational growth, as well as developing and implementing employee retention programs. This position requires leadership in managing diverse teams, including remote workforce operations, and possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. A willingness to travel as needed is essential.
Pay: $85,000 - $100,000 Year
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a roving crew strategy across multiple regions.
- Write and implement a business plan.
- Recruit, train, and manage roving crew members.
- Develop and implement employee retention strategies.
- Oversee scheduling, time cards, logistics, and crew deployment.
- Manage projects related to staffing solutions.
- Identify and overcome internal obstacles, including budget constraints.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Foster relationships with employees and stakeholders.
- Track performance metrics and implement improvements.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role requires management and oversight responsibilities overseeing multiple roving crews across regions.
Key duties may include:
- Create a vision for the team and establish clear goals.
- Ensure employees understand their role in helping the team(s) achieve goals.
- Interviewing, hiring, orienting, training and developing new and existing mobile operational employees and teams.
- Dispatching and managing mobile employees and/or crews including scheduling, time card approval, communicating expectations and performance tracking.
- Provide strategic leadership to achieve performance goals and company objectives.
- Deliver ongoing feedback, direction and guidance to ensure a motivated and productive workforce
- Act as a liaison between employees and upper management surrounding staffing needs.
- Translate executive and management needs into actional tasks for employees.
- Resolving conflict and problem solving effectively as issues arise.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of dynamic staffing solutions by identifying opportunities for improvement, offering suggestions to improve the efficiency and productivity of the employees and teams, and implement new initiatives to improve quality and drive efficiencies.
Working Conditions
- 100% remote position, working from a home office.
- Frequent use of a computer, mobile devices, and various digital tools, including Google Suite.
- Collaborative virtual environment with remote teams and stakeholders.
- Ongoing virtual meetings, calls, and correspondence with crew members and management teams
Physical / Mental Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period of time , working on a computer.
- Frequent operation of digital tools for typing and clicking.
- Occasional need to lift and carry standard office items (e.g., laptop, paperwork, accessories).
- Mental focus required for extended periods to analyze reports, develop strategies, and problem-solve.
- Must be able to manage the stress associated with interacting with management and employees, while under pressure due to tight deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Possible travel to various regions to assess staffing needs.
- Potential for overnight stays and air travel.
- Ability to navigate unfamiliar locations and conduct on-site assessments as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of operational property management experience
- Strong project management skills
- Budget management experience
- Business plan development and execution experience
- Employee retention program development and implementation experience
- Leadership experience managing diverse and remote teams
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel
