Project Accountant I

Sigma Defense is seeking a junior-level Project Accountant. The ideal candidate is someone who has a fundamental knowledge of accounting principles and or finance and budgeting.

We are looking for someone who has great attention to detail, willingness to learn new concepts, and have regular verbal communication with project managers.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in finance or budgeting.
• DoD project accounting experience.
• Affinity for finance and or math-related fields.
• Strong communication skills.

Computer Programs/Software Experience:

• Microsoft Suite - particularly Excel.
• Jamis Prime is a huge plus but not a requirement.
• Power BI is a plus.

Education Requirements:

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, or similar field of study.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

• Project billing.
• Project accounting and financial analysis.
• Subcontractor invoicing management.
• Revenue analysis.
• Project setup and management.
• Communications and coordination with PMs and Contracts.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually.
