Providence is calling a Patient Services Specialist who will:

  • Provide patient-centered, coordinated access to the complex network of facilities, institutes, and clinics
  • Foster and nurture relationships with existing patients and those seeking treatment
  • Provide support related to Care Access including but not limited to:
    • Providing support to patients in a high volume omni channel environment via phone, email and chat
    • Find a physician navigation within a health network
    • Scheduling appointments and classes
    • Providing tier 1 technical support with patient health applications
  • Serve as an entry point and informational resource for patients into the health system
  • Provide high-touch, personalized assistance to patients across Providence St. Joseph Health regions and provider networks

Please note the following important details regarding this position:

  • This posting is for multiple openings of a Patient Services Specialist
  • Work Schedule: 
    • You will be required to work a five-day week, with your shifts scheduled anytime from Sunday to Saturday, as assigned
    • Department Operation Hours: 7:00am - 8:05pm
  • Work Shift: 
    • Day
  • Introductory Period Shift Requirements:
    • Work Shift: 9:00am - 5:30pm
    • Work Days: Monday - Friday
    • Length of Introductory Period: 90 days
    • At the end of the introductory period you will be assigned a permanent shift within the department operation hours that is defined by Supervisor and departmental needs
  • Providence welcomes 100% remote work to applicants to reside in the following States:
    • Washington
    • Oregon
    • California

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • 2+ years of experience interacting and engaging customers over the phone

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Customer Service May include any of the following areas:
    • Healthcare: High Volume Call Center
    • Healthcare: Administrative Office
    • Healthcare: Patient Care Services
    • Healthcare: Pharmacy High Volume Call Center

  • Oregon: Non-Portland Service Area: Min:$17.73, Max: $27.09
  • Oregon: Portland Service Area: Min:$19.02, Max: $29.06
  • Washington: Western - Except Tukwila: Min:$19.97, Max: $30.29

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
