Position Summary

The Manager of Referrals and Capacity is responsible for the delivery of business results referral management, and is responsible for operational processes, implementation, and monitoring standards and referral service for our system. The incumbent will manage assigned staff(s) to ensure they are as efficient as possible to optimize performance and reach financial and strategic goals. The Manager partners with the business unit leader(s) and finance team to gain in depth understanding of the business unit’s operations and its referral workflows to assist with and identify areas for improving our services, and to reduce waste. The Manager organizes, analyzes, and presents analysis and interpretation of data to support needs; serves as a key contact and knowledge authority on operations and/or Epic module related to front office registrations, referrals, authorizations and scheduling efficiencies; participates in the development, editing and delivery of team trainings; shares guidance and technical expertise; prepares/presents reports and monitors progress to determine if changes yield desirable results. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a healthcare field
  • Five (5) years of work experience in business operations, finance, billing, or accounting for a healthcare organization or in a hospital or medical group setting
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $93,018.00 - $133,869.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
