THE JOB: Manager, Analytics & Decision Support
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $92,077 - $115,096
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Specialist Services Committee, the Manager, Analytics & Decision Support manages the SSC’s analytics portfolio that supports SSC initiatives and operations. The Manager has a comprehensive understanding of the SSC workplan and provides leadership to ensure the activities of the analyst team are integrated into SSC’s work plan, aligned with SSC’s strategic objectives, and leverages complementary JCC and Doctors of BC programs and resources.
The Manager will support strategic decision-making at the SSC and SSC leadership levels; oversee the design and implementation of SSC evaluation projects, with the aim of supporting system and organizational learning; provide evaluation support and advice to SSC partners and staff; and oversee the development and maintenance of SSC’s analytics infrastructure, including staff and system capacity, tools, measurement frameworks, reports, and knowledge sharing strategies and activities; and assist with responding to emerging provincial needs and trends. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing leadership, mentorship and guidance to their direct team; overseeing analyses; and developing frameworks, operational plans and other documentation and meetings materials as required.
The Manager will demonstrate leadership presence, programmatic expertise and situational awareness, as well as an ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders (e.g., SSC team members, physicians, Ministry of Health and Health Authority partners).

WHAT YOU BRING
- A Master’s degree and/or recognized professional designation, and up to six years of progressive and related experience; or a bachelor’s degree with equivalent level of related work experience and specialized training.
- Expertise in evaluation, quality improvement, data visualization, and measurement for results
- Experience in managing a wide variety of projects simultaneously
- Experience planning, evaluation, performance measurement, and change management strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve problems with a high degree of tact and diplomacy
- Excellent writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication, briefing notes, and reports
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong consultation and meeting facilitation skills
- Demonstrated expertise with stakeholder relations, especially related to helping diverse groups to develop and work together towards shared goals and improved collective impact.
- Experience supervising and managing teams in complex systems and working collaboratively with senior and executive management.
- Experience and commitment to team building, staff development and coaching
- Capacity to self-manage a varied, flexible work schedule to meet the needs of participating physicians, while ensuring appropriate work-life balance and the need to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare, speciality care system and experience working with physicians, preferred
