Senior Customer Solutions Manager
US, UT, Virtual Location - Utah
Job summary
At Amazon Web Services (AWS) we are changing the future of IT. As part of the core AWS account team you, the Sr Customer Solutions Manager, will help our customers to arrive in the future. You will work across AWS teams and apply your technical and program management expertise to some of the most complex and challenging technology problems today.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Customer Solutions Manager (CSM), you will have the opportunity to work closely with AWS State and Local customers as they work towards AWS adoption to support their missions. In this highly visible role and through leveraging your internal network of AWS sales, solutions architecture, software development and service teams, you will be responsible for guiding the customer through the operational, educational and governance aspects of a successful AWS cloud journey. This role is predominately divided into three primary categories, program management, customer relationship management and business development.
Successful CSMs combine business knowledge, program/project management expertise, change management and technical acumen to clear roadblocks and deliver solutions to accelerate the migration journey for our customers. You can step back to see the big picture and look around corners, but have the willingness and ability to dive deep when the situation dictates it. Specifically, you will serve as the primary point of contact for information technology-related questions around cloud services and will work with all stakeholders to define needs, identify appropriate resources, set goals, track and report progress, develop schedules, and communicate to all necessary stakeholders. Additionally, you will assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide critical issue management, balance trade-offs, and encourage risk-taking to maximize business value.
At AWS we value critical thinking, self-motivation, and the ability to deal with ambiguity. You possess a solid technical background, a detail-oriented approach, and have excellent problem-solving abilities, as well as, be an exemplary communicator. You will leverage this unique skill set to influence your team’s decisions and help drive secure and robust solutions for your customers. We love people who innovate, use data to make decisions, and can express themselves thoughtfully. Apply if you are passionate about customers, delivering a great experience, and you love contributing to a team goal.
Seeking a candidate who is willing to pass the Certified Solution Architect, Associate level within the first year of employment.
Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and Amaze-con (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.
Our team puts a high value on work-live balance. It isn’t about how many hours you spend at home or at work; it’s about the flow you establish that brings energy to both parts of your life. We believe striking the right balance between your personal and professional life is critical to life-long happiness and fulfillment. We offer flexibility in working hours and encourage you to find your own balance between your work and personal lives.
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentor-ship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
