AWS Identity provides secure identity, authentication, and authorization services to make it easier for all customers - including small businesses as well as the world’s largest global corporations - to access, migrate, and build and applications in AWS.

We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Sr. Product Manager Technical (PMT) for the AWS Directory Service team. We provide managed, scalable, and highly available directories that customers use to manage and deploy directory aware applications in AWS, and to access AWS applications and services. You will drive vision, strategy, product roadmap, and outbound messaging for the directory space at AWS. You will also drive the launch of new foundational features to make it easier for customers to migrate and modernize their applications at scale in AWS.

You should be passionate about helping customers operate in the cloud. You should be excited about inventing on behalf of our customers and advocating for their needs throughout the design, build, and deployment process. This position has a high level of visibility, so you will need to be able to communicate clearly and compellingly. You should have a positive attitude and strong work ethic; you will work fast and smart, and adapt and iterate quickly.

Basic Qualifications

· 5+ years product management and/or business leadership experience in a technology context
· Proven track record of delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities
· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
· Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap
· Ability to communicate with and gain buy-in from stakeholders from customers, to developers, to senior executives
· Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts. Experience in the identity or directory space is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

· Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features
· Strong written and verbal communication and persuasion skills
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort with financial and operational analysis
· Implementation orientation; demonstrated ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements
· Proven ability to make trade-offs; experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
· Experience with system design and decoupling
