The Seller Partner API (SP-API) team's mission is to enable Sellers to discover third-party and first-party offered services to automate, manage and expand their business globally, and ensure compliance with Amazon's policies. This role is responsible for ensuring we provide the safest and most reliable platform to protect our Buyers and Sellers.
As a Risk Manager on the SP-API team, you will be responsible for early identification and remediation of abuse pattern risk vectors. You will also be responsible for identifying and surfacing gaps in processes and policies to the broader team and help driving resolution.

As a Risk Manager on the SP-API team, you will be responsible for early identification and remediation of abuse pattern risk vectors. You will also be responsible for identifying and surfacing gaps in processes and policies to the broader team and help driving resolution.
Job responsibilities:
- Identification, containment, and resolution of time sensitive and high impact escalations around developer policy adherence
- Perform policy investigation triage to determine scope, urgency and potential impact, and make recommendations that enable expeditious remediation
- Analyze escalations from internal and external sources, and determine possible root causes
- Track and document policy investigations from initial detection through final resolution
- Identify and quantify new risk trends ensuring appropriate controls have been implemented
- Serve as technical expert and liaison to legal personnel to explain policy investigation details
- Take leading role in drafting and presenting deep-dive documents, including responses to senior executives and Correction of Errors reports
- Analyze existing policy and process gaps, and develop solutions to close them
Basic Qualifications
- Prior investigation and escalations experience
- Fluent level of English (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Actively seeks solutions through logical reasoning and data interpretation skill
- Is data oriented with an ability to identify trends and improvement suggestions and communicate them through the appropriate channel
- SQL knowledge
- Strong Excel skills
- Understanding of Seller business and investigative tools and processes
- Ability to dive deep into the details
- Strong judgement
- Self-disciplined, diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Proven ability to make decisions in a timely manner with incomplete or ambiguous information
- Excellent team player capable of learning and sharing knowledge in a global team environment
- Exemplary performance record, particularly with regard to quality & productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with web services and APIs
- Understanding of the multi-channel eCommerce SaaS ecosystem
- Fluency in a second language (written and verbal)
