Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of eCommerce and advertising, offering a rich array of digital display advertising solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy. Our team is part of the Global Advertising Partner Development organization and we help advertisers reach Amazon customers on, across our other owned and operated sites, on other high quality sites across the web, and on millions of Kindles, tablets, and mobile devices. We start with the customer and work backwards in everything we do. If you’re interested in joining a rapidly growing team working to build a unique, world-class advertising group with a relentless focus on the customer, you’ve come to the right place.

Our global platform provides self-service low-latency systems at massive scale for Amazon Advertising across Performance Advertising (Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Products, Sponsored Display), and is growing to include other products like DSP, Attribution, and AMC. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses driving long term growth, and as such our organization's initiatives are highly visible to Amazon's executive leadership. As an engineer on the team, you would be responsible for helping to grow these systems and own major initiatives within them. Since we are growing so quickly there is an endless range of new opportunities and you would have the opportunity to truly experiment and innovate.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to participate in the full development lifecycle of Amazon Advertising’s Public API. The services that power the API are instrumental to enabling advertisers and their partners to easily create, manage and optimize advertising campaigns through programmatic and file-based interfaces. You will work on fascinating problems at “Amazon Scale” and own collaboration with various stakeholders including Product Managers, Dev Managers, Partner Managers and the Advertising Support team. The team is small but growing quickly, so you get the opportunity to help establish the engineering culture and best practices while mentoring and growing your colleagues. Your main area of focus would be on the API transaction data lake where we capture and analyze the traffic on the API for insights and operational support . More broadly, you will work on the design and implementation of all aspects of the API, and influence and even re-architect platform services to operate at significantly larger scale than ever anticipated. You’ll have a direct impact on your customers and the opportunity to work closely with external integrators of the API.
