How you’ll make an impact
Working with the Head of Partner Sales (Field), this role is responsible for leading a team of Senior Account Managers (SAMs) based regionally.The Partner Sales team consists of field based and office based team members and the Partner Team Manager is responsible for leading part of that team, helping them to achieve their sales targets and ensuring Accounting and Bookkeeping Partners receive the support and guidance they need to succeed.
The role draws on experience and proven, dynamic sales leadership accompanied by knowledge of the UK accounting marketplace. It carries responsibility for a significant proportion of Xero UK’s business.

What you’ll do

  • Manage, motivate and mentor team members in the field, championing Xero’s Sales and Account Management processes
  • A strong emphasis on coaching for performance including regular 121s, meeting shadowing and ad hoc support for team members
  • Responsible for overseeing the development of individual territory plans including quarterly business reviews 
  • Responsible for overall people management of your team including the ongoing performance management, professional skills development, coaching and career progression of the team
  • Deliver timely and accurate sales forecasts and associated reporting
  • Use data to monitor activity and spot trends. Delivering feedback and provide hands-on process improvement
  • Facilitate team meetings, fostering the sharing of ideas and a strong team spirit
  • Work with leadership to shape and develop our culture, uphold our values and understand and promote our vision.
  • This is a remote role but fairly frequent travel to Head Office in Milton Keynes will be required with occasional overnight stays

What you’ll bring with you

  • 3+ years sales management experience, preferably in a fast-paced SaaS environment
  • Experience in all aspects of people management within your team including the ongoing performance management, professional skills development, coaching and career progression of the team.
  • Experience of managing senior field sales people
  • Knowledge of coaching methodologies (GROW) and/or SLII would is desirable
  • Strong tactical selling and sales team leadership skills
  • Proven sales performance and drive for results
  • 121 sales coaching experience
  • Overseeing high account management service levels to Partners
  • Commercial acumen and strong decision making
  • Knowledge of day to day operation of an Accounting Firm would be a real advantage
