Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Teams will meet in person every quarter in one of Grammarly’s hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of their direct team.

Grammarly team members who will be collaborating at our San Francisco hub must be based in the United States or Canada.

The opportunity

Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect, whenever and wherever they communicate. Every day, 30 million people and 30,000 teams around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a People Systems Analyst to join our People Operations team. The person in this role will work on process improvements by using HR system capabilities to increase automation and integration, reduce manual work, and improve data quality. In addition, they will design, configure, and maintain Workday business processes, working with the People Systems Lead for process improvements, workflow automation, and data integrity. The People Systems Analyst will also lead Workday configuration for the assigned functional areas and assist subject matter experts in ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. They will support Workday updates, testing, and other technical projects.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is excited to further develop their Workday functional knowledge and work in a fast-paced and agile environment.

Your impact

As a People Systems Analyst, you will be critical in providing Workday functional expertise to up-leveling processes, systems, data management, and compliance. • Participate in a new HRIS migration to Workday, which involves collaborating on the migration plan for the People Operations Team and collaborating with the IT; Governance, Risk, and Compliance; Workplace Experience; Finance; Legal; and Security teams to ensure all critical processes are captured and will be migrated.
  • Analyze and document future state process designs.
  • Test end-to-end HR business processes and validate the accuracy of data conversion.
  • Identify areas for automation and implement processes that will require minimal manual work.

  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Is comfortable working with data, acquiring data from multiple sources, analyzing data, and communicating data findings.
  • Can analyze, implement, and improve Workday and identify opportunities for automation and self-service to reduce manual work for other functions.
  • Can identify opportunities for integrations to support security, compliance, and smooth data flow.
  • Has at least 2 years of experience in Workday configuration and expertise in one functional area besides core HCM—such as benefits, time tracking and absence, payroll, compensation, talent, and advanced compensation.
  • Has advanced knowledge in developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields and dashboards.
  • Has experience in systems testing and production rollouts and can perform system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of Workday updates.
  • Has experience designing processes, workflows, and data management to meet compliance requirements.
  • Has experience conducting training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation; training team members on new processes or functionality; and training new system users.
