Summary of Duties:

As the VP of FP&A, you bring strategic financial thought leadership, discipline, and rigor to HCP’s leadership team and the Finance function. You dive in to understand the intricacies of our business model, surfacing opportunities to predict, plan, track, place bets and mitigate risk across functions.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop and manage all aspects of the FP&A function, including Budgeting, Forecasting, Analysis processes.
  • Create rigorous financial planning, analysis, & reporting processes that enable teams to build and innovate while operating with greater efficiency
    • Collaborate with the CEO, CFO and other key internal partners to define and support long-term strategic initiatives 
    • Provide analysis on metrics to inform resource allocation, contract negotiation and hiring decision making and timing
    • Guide, mentor, and inspire a high performing Finance team with best practices, procedures and innovative thinking
  • Work closely with Fintech, Marketing and Sales departments to develop a deep understanding of key business levers that drive our success
  • Rely on strong cross-functional relationships to establish continuous feedback loops that demonstrate agility and lead to model improvements over time
    • Leverage complex data sets to build sophisticated financial models that help us define scenarios and predict strategic outcomes
    • Effectively execute implementation of said models to improve structure, process and measurable outcomes across the organization
  • Develop clear guidelines and measurable milestones, providing regular financial reporting and forecasts on both departmental and organizational levels
  • Drive the selection and implementation of a financial planning tool such as Anaplan, Workday, Adaptive Insight, or similar. 


  • 10+ years FP&A, Corporate Finance or Strategic Finance leadership, with 1-2 years of experience operating in a SaaS environment preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading financial functions at businesses of different stages - including experience operating in Finance at scale, but also providing leadership for an earlier stage, high growth company; public company experience preferred
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills with demonstrated experience working with all business functions
  • Experience using financial modeling software, adoption of new software a plus
  • Experience working closely with Executive Leadership
  • Strategic planning, modeling and analytical ability
  • Experience managing midsize teams
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required, Master’s a plus
  • Mindset: Positive attitude, strategic / innovative / data-driven and practical

This role is open to candidates inside and outside of Colorado, but for those hired in Colorado the expected salary range for this role is $165,000 to $215,000 plus bonus. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. And the salary range for successful candidates outside of Colorado may differ based on location. This role is also eligible to participate in Housecall Pro’s equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability), employee assistance program, 401(K), flexible time off, paid parental leave, tech reimbursement, and other company benefits.
