Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we have presence throughout South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. We're on a journey to becoming a globally anti-racist, anti-oppressive, anti-bias company that actively opposes racism and all forms of oppression and bias. At Twilio, we support diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

This position, reporting to the Director, Internal Communications, is needed to conceptualize, design and execute creative and technical solutions that consistently and clearly communicate Twilio’s brand, positioning and messaging through the company intranet. Manage and support all technical front-end and CMS frameworks for the intranet along with stakeholder support, training, and vendor management.

Our team, the Editorial & Channels team, is responsible for consistent interpretation and application of the Twilio brand internally to reinforce external impact and marketing strategies. We monitor target audience insights and business objectives to create a cohesive aesthetic across all platforms, specializing in internal art direction, internal communications, Switchboard front and back-end maintenance, and brand alliance.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead our intranet design and expansion, UX/UI, governance and maintenance.
  • Create a compelling, consistent, and connected content journey for the users, content taxonomy, information architecture, cross-linking strategy, and consistency as Switchboard evolves and navigation expands.
  • Lead and maintain our intranet’s front and back-end development on pace with rapidly-changing Unily features and functionality.
  • Compile analytics and drive course correction and strategy based on data and employee trends.
  • Promote intranet adoption & engagement through campaigns and change management.
  • Expand our intranet’s capabilities and services, i.e., broadcast center, search center, data configurations, features, campaigns and mobile experience.
  • Stakeholder management with all intranet content contributors supporting dynamic content, design, enhancements, and training.
  • Provide creative and design support to the Internal Communications team for Google Slides, company events, intranet graphics, emails and more.
  • Convey mission and values through work and attitude to live the Twilio Magic

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

  • You’ve built intranet site layouts, custom widget development, HTML/CSS support, and CMS management.
  • You have expertise in CMS development, data configuration, and customization in Unily and in targeting, permissioning, and development.
  • You have expertise in gathering robust analytics and reporting statistics to leadership.
  • You are proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • You understand best practices and governance support for intranet maintenance.
  • You have experience in Digital Asset Management with organized and systematic cataloging.
  • You are comfortable working with and coordinating multiple shareholders to meet deadlines.

  • 10+ years of experience with success in brand building through digital and print design.
  • 3+ years experience in intranet strategy, maintenance and technical enhancements.
  • Proficient in GSuite, Microsoft Office programs, ServiceNow and Slack.
