Implied, fully diluted equity value is $1.5bn, including an upsized PIPE of $100mn, of which $35.5mn has been pre-funded to accelerate the company’s growth plans. Swvl is the first $1bn+ unicorn from the region to list on NASDAQ and the first mass transit solutions company on any exchange. The PIPE was led by strategic and financial investors including Agility, Luxor Capital & Zain.

Founded on strong ESG principles, Swvl advances social and economic equity while reducing congestion by an estimated 14.4 million person-hours. The platform has prevented approximately 245 million pounds of Co2 emissions since its inception.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced leader to lead the entire Platform teams for Swvl - Foundation Domain. As a leader, the role is responsible for thinking about All the core capabilities of that enable an efficient Demand and Supply experience. This role will bring technical and platform expertise to help Swvl build great underlying foundation for the user facing products and will bring strong background of technology, platform, tech ecosystem and long term vision to the organisation.

What You Will Do

• Contribute crucially to organisation's strategy and goals while enabling business and user objectives
• Build/Buy a strong suite of foundation of products - Identity, Fraud/Trust, Maps, SaaS Platform, Comms Engine and Care to name a few
• Set and execute the vision of customer centricity in all the products we build
• Enable scientific prioritisation and impact driven product development for all the customer product teams
• Expand consumer choices on the platform while being transparent and predictable through Marketplace flows
• Understand existing systems and the information flow to analyze tradeoffs and make decisions in the face of ambiguity
• Create milestones, prepare a project plan, evangelize and present timelines/updates to stakeholders across and outside the marketplace
• Build and lead a cross-functional team, partnering with product, growth and ops to ship high impact marketplace solutions
• Be a customer advocate, articulate their needs and deliver user-friendly solutions that solve their challenges

What You’ll Need

• At Least 8-10 years of product & tech experience, working on at scale B2C product
• Strong platform understanding and proven trackrecord of building centralised products at scale
• Self-starter and proactive, ownership driven and resourceful
• An entrepreneurial midset comfortable working in a complex and fast-paced environment
• Highly analytical and data-driven, you rely on data to recognize what’s happening and define & measure success
• Customer-obsessed mindset
• Ability to clearly elaborate your thoughts and balance long term vision of the org with immediate business objectives
