We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who enjoys working in a fast-growing cloud communications company and thrives in an international environment. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for connecting and working with industry partners to help grow the Messaging (SMS) business. This role will be based in our London office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Successfully prospecting and closing new clients/partners in line with the agreed strategy (full sales-cycle ownership)
  • Managing new and existing accounts for sales and potential buy side opportunities with focus towards Europe and US Markets as well as regional APAC
  • Participating in sales and marketing activities and relevant Global industry events
  • Building current account strategy based on analysing data to find opportunities and prove value 
  • Keeping updated on industry trends and movements and advising management accordingly through regular networking
  • Establishing relations and liaising closely with key internal support teams (finance, legal, operations, customer support etc.) to attain good level of customer satisfaction
  • Introducing, uploading and maintaining relevant prospect/customer information into the company’s CRM tool

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experienced in technology/Internet or telecommunications sales and account management
  • Experience in advertising optimisation, wholesale trading, or security/commodity trading advantageous 
  • Experience with European clients- tech and/or telecommunication is preferred, with time based in UK/Europe an added advantage 
  • Skill in English language is essential, European language a plus but not necessary 
  • Appetite to structure, negotiate, and maintain significant relationships 
  • Pro-active team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Resourceful, strong problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to work independently and cope with pressure
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% or when needed by the company
