The People Operations team supports Crisis Text Line employees as they deliver on our mission to provide free, 24/7 text-based crisis support. We’re growing and changing, and we’re looking for a People Operations Generalist to grow with us.

You will:

  • Partner with managers, team members and cross-functional collaborators to help run and improve key people processes (promotion, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, engagement, etc)
  • Use data analysis to identify what’s working and what’s not as we strive to create an inclusive environment where people can do their best work
  • Support employees in resolving tricky challenges
  • Encourage healthy change management practices including crafting strong and compelling internal communications
  • Infuse diversity, equity and inclusion practices into Crisis Text Line’s culture and DNApractices
  • Build compliance into all you do, including maintaining documentation around all employee relations, and performance issues and legal matters


  • You have multiple years of applicable human resources experience, leading and working with teams and people
  • You have a passion for equity and inclusion, and you have experience building belonging at work
  • You are approachable, credible and a great listener, earning trust quickly
  • You are honest, direct and supportive in all communication
  • You’re organized, efficient, and can move things forward even when faced with obstacles
  • You love to teach and coach. You love learning new things and are not afraid to admit when you don’t know an answer
  • You’re a creative, out of the box HR thinker
  • You know how to use data to identify opportunities and tell a story
