We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to scale some of our most foundational data products. You will work across our Auth, Balance, Identity, Transactions, Investments, Liabilities, and Link products which are instrumental in building the modern financial management experiences that are shaping the future of financial services.
In this role, you’ll help grow our portfolio of Core Products by owning and improving product quality-related initiatives and broader product development practices. In close collaboration with the Core Product Lead and Core Engineering Lead, you’ll drive operational investments and improvements for the Core Product team.
You’ll be tasked with managing the underlying operational cadence of the team, as well as supporting ongoing product roadmapping, internal coordination, alignment, and reporting. As one of your first projects, you’ll create a reliable and scalable system for monitoring and managing product quality.
Technical Program Managers at Plaid bring subject matter expertise, operational rigor, and energy to lead teams through complex development efforts. We’re dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive TPM team that celebrates knowledge sharing, collaboration, and mentorship.

What excites you

  • Building elegantly designed and reliable API products that enable our customers to create delightful product experiences for end consumers.
  • Advancing product quality through data analysis, automation, simplification, and program delivery.
  • Improving customer-driven product development processes to accelerate team pace and impact.
  • Creating and maintaining operating cadences and foundational artifacts—such as OKRs, KPIs, roadmaps— that drive accountability, visibility, and engagement.
  • Managing multiple senior stakeholders and priorities simultaneously, and making the tough calls when needed.
  • Partnering with Product Management, Product Marketing, Design, and Revenue to create and maintain an evergreen system for learning from customers and feeding those learnings into product roadmaps.

What excites us

  • 5+ years experience in software technical program management, product operations, and some experience building software (as an engineer, product manager, or designer).
  • Experience partnering with Eng. Directors and Vice Presidents to scale fast-growing teams.
  • Experience working directly with customers, revenue teams, and marketing teams on customer discovery-related initiatives, and comfort translating technical and non-technical (and vice versa) requirements.
  • Experience building scalable processes to consistently deliver and monitor product quality, including reliable QA test planning and methodologies.
  • Willingness to dig into technical details to understand our owned and dependent systems’ capabilities and roadmaps, and proactively identify risks and dependencies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to take accountability and responsibility for the success of work, and willingness to roll up your sleeves as needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail and process discipline.
