About the teamWe’re a growing team of Recruitment professionals who partner with our business leaders to build and execute recruitment strategies that support the growth of Wealthsimple. We’re a full-stack team that sources, coordinates, interviews, advises, and delivers exceptional experiences, to both the teams we partner with and our candidates! We’re continuing to grow our team, scale our infrastructure to support both volume and targeted recruitment, and deliver on projects that elevate our practices and impact.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Build rapport and credibility with the 7 Coordinators that will report directly to you, as well as with members across the broader Recruitment team
  • Build relationships within People Operations (HR Systems, DE&I, etc.) and across the business to identify areas of opportunity from an operations and analytics perspective; establish yourself as a trusted and collaborative partner with inter-department colleagues
  • Set clear performance expectations and measures of success for the Coordination team; partner with your direct reports and colleagues to address obstacles and barriers to success
  • Dive into the Coordination process by pairing with and shadowing other members of the Coordination team
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality and holistic candidate experience and identify areas of opportunity in the coordination process
  • Complete our company-wide onboarding program where you’ll meet and learn about all areas of our business

Within 6 months, you'll:

  • Have a strong understanding of the operational and analytical needs of the Recruitment team, as well as the broader business
  • Be a consultative advisor to the business, leading strategic discussions regarding systems, operations, and recruitment analytics
  • Improve and scale the systems for recruitment data and analytics to provide insights, ideas, and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Implement and recommend Coordination competency development programs to foster learning and development with your direct reports and the broader recruitment team
  • Contribute your insights and recommendations to influence the direction of the recruitment roadmap and strategy
  • Initiate creative and scalable changes to our existing coordination and recruitment strategy
  • Contribute to the recruitment team’s processes and tooling

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a background in Recruitment Operations and experience working in a scaling environment
  • Is a dedicated people leader with prior experience managing and developing teams
  • Is committed to building diverse and inclusive teams; both within their function and on behalf of the business leaders that they partner with
  • Brings experience working with different recruiting tools and systems (i.e. ATS, HRIS, scheduling automation, etc.), and has a perspective on how to maximize their use in a scaling environment; you can anticipate where things will break and drive solutions that scale
  • Has experience leading Recruitment Operations expansion into new regions and entities
  • Demonstrates high learning agility and the E.Q. to thrive in a Leadership role at Wealthsimple
  • Sets a high bar for building a high performing Recruitment Operations function, and recognizes that a high performance culture is contingent on fostering a collaborative, open, and high-trust environment
  • Leverages data and analytics to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities to improve recruitment process and programs
  • Has the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems while collaborating with business leaders to achieve common hiring goals
