You’re an experienced recruitment guru who can think outside of the box and use a wide range of tools and creative tactics to find, engage, and attract great talent. You are passionate about candidate experience and take pride in ensuring candidates enjoy the process from start-to-finish.

You’ll be confident in building relationships with every team in the business to partner them effectively. You have bags of energy and people enjoy working with you as you get things done. You’re probably the “go to” person when your colleagues are stuck and are used to being a central cog in the recruitment cycle.

Most of all you’re a self-starter who enjoys connecting great people with a great business and are an active curious learner always scanning the market for new innovative ideas to constantly drive improvements in the way we recruit.

About the role

Growth just isn't possible without great people. We are growing incredibly quickly, even given the current tough environment, and so our hiring needs are now at the point where we are looking for our first dedicated sourcing specialist to partner our Talent Acquisition Manager.

You will take responsibility for some of our key recruitment campaigns. You will be responsible for posting, sourcing, sifting, and first stage interviews for various vacancies we look to fill. You will build, manage, harness, and nurture the talent pipeline for Car & Classic. You’ll build a profile for yourself and Car & Classic in the external talent market that strengthens our employer brand.

You’ll also have access to LinkedIn, Talent.io and various other routes to market so that you can proactively approach talent for all our vacancies.

Role and responsibilities

  • Building sourcing strategies, talent pools and communities to develop upon and strengthen our employer brand
  • Collaborate with hiring managers ensuring all aspects of the role's requirements have been explored effectively to define the desired candidate profile, key skills and experience required.
  • Coach Hiring Managers in best in class recruiting techniques - talent spotting, interviewing, culture fit & assessment
  • Source active and passive candidates in line with the current and future needs of the business utilising different channels (e.g. professional social networks, job board databases)
  • Qualifying candidates for skill, cultural, and motivational fit
  • Responsibility for being the first point of contact for candidates, delivering an exceptional candidate experience and ensuring that candidates are effectively pre-screened and evaluated before inclusion into the recruitment process
  • Measure and report on recruiting metrics, like source of hire, time-to-fill, most effective, channels & candidate experience feedback, for example
  • Ad-hoc projects as and when required, such as benchmarking, organising events and meetups.

The skills, attributes and experience you must have:

  • Experience successfully sourcing for multiple positions simultaneously
  • You know exactly what stakeholders want and need and know how to support and influence when required
  • Exceptional attention to detail & not afraid to question the status quo
  • Experience using specialist techniques (i.e. Boolean searching) to source candidates through active and passive channels
  • Experience using CV databases, and LinkedIn to proactively find talent
  • Passionate about the candidate experience
  • The ability to represent the brand and company well in every interaction with candidates, at every stage of their journey
  • Experience of working with recruitment systems and maintaining a high level of data integrity
  • An outstanding excellent communicator both written and verbal. Somone who is able to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong interviewing and questioning skills
  • A passion for the numbers, and the fine-tuning of talent attraction
  • The ability to work with, understand, and influence hiring managers across the different functions within the business

Skills, attributes and experience it would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience successfully sourcing for Developers and other technical positions
  • Previous experience working in a start-up/scale-up environment
  • We have an awesome ATS called Recruitee, if you’ve used it before that’s a bonus
