Mission:As a BackOffice Operations Specialist you’ll help manage the day-to-day operations of our crypto-asset investment business.  This person will be part of a small, hands-on team with an entrepreneurial spirit and will have the opportunity to work with other groups across the firm to refine operational procedures. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles, detail oriented, and able to work comfortably with numbers. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department.
Please note this is a fully remote role for a candidate who can be based anywhere in European timezone.

What you might be doing:

  • Provide operational support for crypto-asset investment business, with an emphasis on optimizing clients accounts reconciliation and pre-trade settlement procedures
  • Fill and distribute investment reports to all SB pre-selected clients
  • Keep track of all SB Ventures private deals specifics and inform other team member and senior management if non-standard need to implemented to achieve mission objectives
  • Keep an up-to-date account mapping each deal to all clients invested
  • Monitor pending expire vesting period for existing investments
  • Liaise with other departments to carry out the operational activities
  • Provide additional administrative support at the direction of senior management
  • Help on various accounting tasks and administration work

What you might bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • At least 2 year of experience in business development or accounting department
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; previous experience working with VBA or other tools for automation and process improvement (preferred)
  • Very strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Previous experience working in fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual, global organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is a must
