We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Sales Engineer to join Conclave, R3's new privacy-preserving platform.
R3's Conclave team is on a mission to build the leading privacy-preserving platform for the development of tamper-proof software. Applications range from aggregating sensitive data to detect sophisticated types of fraud, training AI models with sensitive data sets, or aggregating sensitive transaction data for risk reporting across organisations.
Conclave is a software development kit, evolving to a suite of complementary cloud services, rooted in hardware-based confidential computing techniques, designed to bring privacy-preserving capabilities to developers globally.
As the Sales Engineer for Conclave, you will use your deep technical knowledge to lead presentations and demonstrations to help customers realise the value of Conclave. You will work closely with the rest of the sales team to provide technical guidance and thought leadership throughout the sales process, from initial discovery through to project initiation.
Conclave is an early-stage and technical confidential computing product so you will therefore need to be someone with a passion for and deep understanding of privacy-enhancing techniques. 


  • Utilise your knowledge and learning of Conclave to: 
  • Own and lead presentations, demonstrations and benchmarks on customer products and applications
  • Build demo applications to highlight the value of the platform to customers and accelerate the Customer Journey 
  • Provide technical guidance and thought leadership throughout the (enterprise) sales process, from initial discovery through to project initiation
  • Focus well honed communication skills to inform and build partnerships with key stakeholders within Conclave BU including product, sales and marketing, giving direction through providing technical and commercial feedback
  • Develop analysis skills to Identify best practices and use to refine the Conclave Sales playbook
  • Build and maintain relationships with and R3’s Sales Engineering, and Professional Services teams to ensure communication and planning flows between the teams
  • Contribute to the continual innovation and improvement of Conclave’s go to market approach. 
  • Use your intellectual curiosity to understand POCs and use cases of the product suite to be able to help prospective clients understand how to use the apps to solve their problems. 


  • 3 years of working experience, preferably within high-growth SaaS start-ups
  • Strong technical background including hands on programming experience, preferably with Java or Kotlin
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must for this role due to being client facing. Helpful experience includes: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments
