The Role
Part of the global Legal team, you will assist the European Legal Counsel in supporting the European sales teams with contract and contract process questions, negotiation and drafting for the Northern European region.  The Counsel will ensure that legal matters are handled in the best interests of Veeva and appropriately reflect Veeva’s policies and business practices, including the legal directives of the Veeva Legal Department. This role provides the opportunity for an exceptional graduate to enter an exciting in-house legal career at a cutting-edge leading cloud software company and to advance their career in the software space. 

What You'll Do

  • Negotiate and draft all types of customer agreements.
  • Identify legal, financial and business issues for resolution
  • Work closely with the Northern European sales teams and be responsible for specific European wide sales teams.
  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts as well as external counsel.
  • Act as resource and advisor to non-contract professionals.
  • Establish and maintain scalable contracting processes and templates.
  • Support the European Legal Counsel and the European legal team


  • Law Degree 
  • Bar qualification
  • Excellent and Effective English language verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and a passion for being part of a high performing team
  • Analytical thinker
  • Willingness to learn and gain experience as an in-house counsel
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly, outgoing, and flexible manner
  • Comfortable recognizing key legal document types and basic terms 
  • Competence in legal/commercial terms and identifying those that require approval.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate risk
  • Motivated self-starter 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
  • Assist with other corporate initiatives as required
  • Establish and build good working relationships with internal clients, based on mutual trust and respect, as well as knowledge of the company’s business, needs, and goals.
  • Additional European language

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience of sell-side contracting experience preferably in a fast-paced technology company
  • Familiarity with data privacy, including GDPR, and information security
