About On Deck and the roleOn Deck is on a mission to expand the startup economy. We help people start and scale companies, get impactful jobs at companies, and invest in their careers.
What began as a humble dinner series has, in the last two years, transformed into a thriving business responsible for the creation of over 650 companies that have surpassed $800M in funding. 
A couple of years ago, Erik Torenberg and others launched the On Deck Daily, a community of engineers, founders, investors, and startup folks of all stripes discussing and debating the latest in technology. 
On Deck Daily grew out of the On Deck community — a digital and in-person community of world-class engineers and entrepreneurs looking to start or join their next thing. We were having great conversations in Slack, Facebook, and in person, and we wanted to give them their own home.
Startups need to ruthlessly prioritize, so we decided to sunset the product and focus on scaling the On Deck Founders Fellowship and other programs. However, we still believe in building community and having thoughtful, productive, and substantive conversations around curated content.
For that reason, we’re looking for a scrappy generalist who can bring back the On Deck Daily, iterate on it and turn it into a successful product, supported by the On Deck ecosystem.
This is an incredibly exciting role, with lots of opportunities to learn, get your hands dirty, take on lots of responsibility from day 1, and bring something from a mere concept into a full-fledged profitable business unit. The team is growing extremely fast, so you'll get an inside seat at a company in rapid scaling mode. If you love hacking, growing products, and building teams you will love this role.

What you will do

  • Get a deep understanding of how to build, scale and support communities.
  • Build the first version of On Deck Daily, either with code or no-code and bring it to market.  
  • Iterate and experiment (with product and go-to-market) until you find initial evidence of product/market fit. 
  • Successfully scale the On Deck Daily product and operations, and achieve meaningful traction.
  • Collaborate with other functions (Marketing, Growth, Product, etc.) across the company
  • Communicate your vision and progress with leadership, new hires and the entire On Deck team

Who you are

  • The ideal person for this role is a scrappy ambitious generalist who can take projects from 0-1 and both build (with code or no-code) and execute (GTM strategy/non-technical side). 
  • You are entrepreneurial (usually a former founder or early employee at a fast-growing startup), with a result-driven mindset and the ability to turn a concept into a product.
  • You understand how to build communities from nothing, scale them and support them as they grow, without losing the magic that made them great.
  • Finally, you need a vision, passion for technology and strong beliefs about the future since you’ll be incubating a product to help founders and operators build world-changing companies.

CompensationThis role comes with a competitive salary, stock options, you can take any PTO you need, anytime you need, and employee benefits including generous healthcare.
LocationOur team works remotely, and this position is based in Europe.You would start as soon as possible.
