The Role

Pantheon is currently looking for a motivated, proactive and energetic individual to join the company's Financial Systems team. The financial systems team plays an integral role at Pantheon ensuring the integration, compliance, management, and efficiency of all financial systems are aligned to both internal and external stakeholders and industry standards. This includes leading projects, managing vendor relationships, understanding interfaces and upstream/downstream integrations and dependencies, owning compliance and controls, SOCI/SOCII reporting, and managing the administrative upkeep across all financial systems. The team sits under the Finance team and will also work closely with BI, RevSystems, Product/Engineering, and Pricing teams to partner together on many initiatives. The Financial Systems Manager will be an integral leader and contributor of project teams surrounding financial systems such as Zuora (Billing / Subscription Management), NetSuite (GL), (AP), Expensify (Expense Reporting), Tesorio (Collections), and more . This role will involve 1) Project Management, as we look to replace some existing financial systems, 2) System Administration which will start with NetSuite, and 3) System Optimization as we work to enhance and streamline our financial system architecture to align with a growing company preparing to IPO.  You will play a pivotal role in scaling and automating the accounting and finance processes to support the growth of Pantheon.  

Cool Things You’ll Do

As a member of the Financial Systems team, you will be part of making critical decisions and implementing new solutions that will shape the financial systems used as Pantheon as we scale and grow. You should possess a strong understanding of quoting, billing and other accounting operational processes and experience working with cross-functional teams to optimize accuracy and efficiency.  

  • Contribute to the strategic vision and roadmap for critical finance systems with other business systems and processes that enable the business to execute its strategy and priorities.
  • Analyze frameworks and methods to understand current state; prioritize requirements, identify gaps, propose improvements, evaluate solution alternatives, identify and design future state, and drive consensus to achieve an agreed upon set of requirements.
  • Involvement in RFP’s for projects requiring new software solutions and/or consultant services
  • Ensure projects are scoped properly, delivered on time, and within budget
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Insights and Monetization, Pricing, and Packaging  organizations to drive insights into customer behavior and position Pantheon’s finance operations as a competitive advantage.
  • Assist in managing data, security and legal governance processes and adherence of controls and guidelines for financial systems. Protect data integrity and drive alignment across other business systems.
  • System Administrator for NetSuite, as well as other systems, which would include managing users, roles, settings, etc.
  • Problem-solve development and implementation issues; continuously identify and correct data issues. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and provide timely responses and solutions as required.
  • Document and maintain system architectural designs and diagrams and understanding of dependencies and controls; perform data audits and validation.
  • Train financial application users on new tools, updates and changes to existing tools.
  • Create and manage project plans with clearly defined deliverables and resources, coordinate workstreams and dependencies, track and communicate progress, and identify obstacles and ensure they are addressed.

What you Bring to the Table

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years in a finance or business systems role where you are solving problems, managing projects and implementing technology solutions
  • 2+ years experience serving as primary NetSuite administration with responsibility for configuration, customization, and management of the technical application.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Highly resourceful, self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sense of humor
