The Vice President of Brand Marketing is a critical and strategic role for Amyris. This role will be responsible and developing and executing our global marketing strategy. This person will lead and drive annual and seasonal planning, acquisition / growth marketing strategy, sustainability strategy, consumer insights, advertising, and retail marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Help strategize, develop, execute and inspire a holistic global brand strategy to drive awareness, new customer acquisition, engagement, loyalty and accelerated business growth.
  • Help develop a global brand management model that builds a world-class global team and balances global consistency with regional needs effectively. 
  • Position Brand as the global leader in sustainable (head to toe) care solutions for menopause.  
  • Ensure consumer insights are consistently communicated out across teams and woven into annual and seasonal marketing strategies.  
  • Partner with global retailers to optimize collaboration, develop comprehensive marketing strategy that drives online and brick and mortar growth & launch unique own-able experiential ideas. 
  • Build, coach and mentor team members for success and hold them accountable for achieving results.
  • Manage P&L/budgets for Marketing consistent with business strategy and goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify process efficiencies, drive for results and lead together as a leadership group.

Qualifications:

  • As a digital native, you will be fluent in digital marketing to premenopausal and menopausal women.
  • Minimum of 10 + years of relevant experience in content/community marketing/building roles. Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in relevant field of study. Experience with and passion for iconic consumer brands a plus.
  • Passion for skincare & beauty industry.
  • Experience with global cross-functional teams.
  • Thrive in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment without losing sight of the customer experience.
  • Team builder who develops and coaches team members to drive high performance and engagement.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, being able to influence and persuade a diverse audience.
