About the Role
The Kraken Client Engagement team is rapidly expanding as we continue to hire world-class talent across our organization. With a global team of dedicated agents supporting our clients’ around the clock we are actively scaling our team.
We are accepting applicants for a Client Onboarding Supervisor to lead a high-performance team of specialists. Our Onboarding team is the first point of contact for new clients. This team is focused on serving individuals and institutional traders. Client Onboarding Supervisors help developing talent and expertise within the team.
With a strong understanding of the crypto space, a high degree of technical fluency, and a passion for team-leadership, your role at Kraken will play an important part in our success through delivering world class service and creating Kraken Evangelists.
This is a fully remote role requiring English fluency. You must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
• Set performance goals that align with the company’s larger plans• Coach, mentor and develop your direct reports• Delegate work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback• Help to maintain or increase quality of the Onboarding team, ensuring a quick and seamless onboarding and account opening experience for our clients while conducting client due diligence (KYC/CDD).• Think holistically about Kraken’s success, how your team can contribute to it, and then drive that success• Address problems with work quality, issues between employees and other concerns in an effective, timely manner• Ensure reports adhere to company and department policies• Serve as a link between direct reports and CE Managers• Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity• Have regular voice or video 1 on 1s with all your direct reports once a week• Attend company meet-ups to meet your team members• Assist in the hiring process for new team members as requested by the recruiting team or your manager• Work weekends on a rotating schedule
Requirements
• Strong knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and passion for crypto!• 2+ years experience managing a team.• Experience researching and conducting individual and institutional client due diligence e.g., deep understanding of business models, industries, corporate structures and beneficial ownership requirements• Strong communication and leaderships skills as well as the ability to resolve workplace issues effectively• Experience in organizing work groups, coaching employees, monitoring progress, enforcing rules and ensuring quality compliance• Ability and readiness to guide, train and support team members• Highly self-motivated to help our company fulfil its larger mission• People-centred, supportive and flexible in order to get the most of his/her team• A natural leader who is focused on inspiring employees to own their work and deliver better results
