Job summary

We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead sustainability strategy and initiatives throughout Amazon's customer fulfillment operations to support the network to reduce energy, water, and waste.

In this role, the candidate will work with internal stakeholders across the world to drive sustainability solutions into mechanisms, metrics, and action plans in support of Amazon's environmental goals.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading change at scale, managing teams and strategic initiatives from start to finish with independence. We are looking for candidates with particular expertise in waste reduction, recycling optimization, and circularity.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree
· 7+ years of experience in program or project management
· 7+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects
· 7+ years of experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management
· 7+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
· Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
· Deep subject matter expertise in waste, energy, carbon, and water
· Experience leading teams to drive sustainability improvements through mechanisms and metrics in large organizations
· Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills, while meeting tight deadlines
· Experience working across global teams and earning trust and partnership with broad set of stakeholders
· Highly data driven with ability to navigate ambiguity to solve complex problems

Preferred Qualifications

· Expertise driving circularity, leading waste reduction initiatives, and increasing reuse/recycling options
· Experience setting a sustainability strategy throughout a manufacturing or operations environment
· Proven track record of working with industry partners to influence and drive
